    CarbostSwiss is a boutique consulting firm that helps startups define and execute their digital product strategy.

     

    Kezia's Role as a Product Consultant:

    • Help our clients shape their vision and strategy for their ecommerce or platform or digital initiatives
    • Understand and analyze end-user needs (customer journeys, user stories, etc)
    • Manage work streams related to organizational design, product and experience strategy governance, product management, and agile delivery
    • Define, prioritize and execute activities to drive digital modernization initiatives such as stakeholder alignment, change impact assessment, transition phasing, response planning, and adoption monitoring
    Key focus: Helping startups bridge the product gap between seed and series A. This is a niche time in the business where founders are still very much driving product but are not quite ready for the first full time product hire.

    Stack Overflow is is the largest, most trusted online community for developers to learn, share​ ​their programming ​knowledge, and build their careers.
     

    Kezia's Role as a Product Manager:

    • Helped launch and iterate the Stack Overflow paid product suite (SaaS) - "Stack Overflow for Teams"
    • Help set the product strategy for Stack Overflow for Teams, and lead the team that is executing on that strategy
    • Manage a fully remote and global team of developers
    • Contribute to user research and customer segmentation to understand the needs of our customers and developers that consume ad content.
    • Start with high-level goals, turn them into detailed functional specs, and work with developers and designers to create rapid prototypes
    Key accomplishment: Increased team productivity/output by 60%. The team ships more quality code now than when Kezia first started.

    Austin, TX -- (2017 - 2018)

     

    Dropoff is a courier service focused on same-day, last-mile deliveries with locations nationwide. Clients include Nordstrom’s, Whole Foods, McKesson, Sprinkle’s Cupcakes, and Neiman Marcus.
     

    Kezia's Role as a Director Product:

    • Work to align the Dropoff roadmap with business strategy.

    • Develop and champion a product vision and product strategy focused on artificial intelligence.

    • Serve as a thought leader within the team and the broader enterprise.

    • Direct collaboration on a day-to-day basis with engineering, QA, & UX design.

    • Align operational needs with product roadmap.

    • Lead for technical integration projects - customer or internal.

    Key accomplishment: Productization and launch of 2 artificial intelligence projects aimed at optimizing operational processes while increasing ability to scale.

    Director Product

    Enterprise Logistic Marketplace

    Austin, TX -- (2016 - 2017)

     

    uShip is an online marketplace for shipping services. Individuals and businesses post items they need shipped in a variety of categories, including auto transport, boat shipping, moving service, and the transport of heavy industrial equipment.

     

    Kezia's Role as a Director Product:

    • Develop a strategy for the roll out of the new Enterprise "PRO" platform. This platform supports high volume logistics shippers and their businesses.

    • Translate strategy into tactical roadmap / plans.

    • Identity product market requirements and derive functional requirements.

    • Lead a group of 3 separate software development & design teams to build and deliver the Enterprise PRO platform.

    • Day to day delivery lead / Client engagement lead.

    Key accomplishment: Launch of a holistic platform for the 3rd largest logistics company in Europe. Took the project from idea to delivery with the goal of digitizing and optimizing existing logistic processes. Included web/native apps. Helped achieve funding from series C to D.

    Optaros is an eCommerce services and consulting agency. Optaros partners with clients to design, build, and manage eCommerce solutions. Past clients include Coach, Nestle, Stella & Dot, Rue La La, Walmart, and luxury consumer goods labels.

     

    Kezia’s Role as Product/eCommerce Consultant:

    • Driving product development needs and communication between client stakeholders, including executive teams, in-house disciplines, multiple development teams, and contractors. Products include: personalized shopping tool, driving users to retail store experience, high volume online shopping events (black Friday/cyber Monday).
       
    • Day to day client management - service, contracts & resourcing. 
       
    • Building a short-term and long-term product roadmap according to customer needs and business requirements.
       
    • Developing a cohesive customer experience, with a focus on user flows (divided by front end user and system interactions)
       
    • Manage the entire life-cycle of site features.
    Key accomplishment: Launch and ongoing innovation of a high end retailer account and helped generate 800% in online revenue increase over 2 years.
